Firmcheck announce Open API, unlocking new flexibility for AML compliance

Firmcheck announces the public beta launch of its Open API, a powerful new way for firms to integrate AML compliance into their existing systems. Built in response to customer feedback, the API enables real-time client syncing, automated workflows, and direct integration with CRMs and practice management tools. Discover how this API release allows firms to gain greater control, flexibility, and efficiency in their compliance processes.

Firmcheck are proud to announce the launch of its Open API, now available in public beta. This release marks a major step in Firmcheck’s mission to bring modern, flexible tools to the world of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance.

“Our customers told us they wanted AML to work with the tools they already use, not around them,” said Kevin Lord, General Manager at Firmcheck. “The Open API is our answer: seamless integration, less duplication, and smarter workflows that scale with your business. It also opens the door to new partnerships and custom integrations, giving firms more choice and more control than ever before.”

🛠️ Build Compliance Into the Tools You Already Use

The Firmcheck Open API is designed for developers, integrators, and growing firms who want to seamlessly connect AML processes with their internal systems, CRMs, and practice management software. With this API, users can:

  • Sync client data in real time
  • Retrieve AML status, documents, and actions programmatically
  • Trigger automated tasks and reminders
  • Integrate AML monitoring directly into existing operational workflows

The API is REST-based, follows OpenAPI v3 specifications, and supports secure, token-based authentication. A full developer portal and usage documentation are now available at https://developer.firmcheck.com.

💡 Built to Solve Real-World Frustrations

The decision to lead with an API release was driven directly by customer feedback. As firms scale, the complexity of managing compliance across multiple systems also increases.

“We kept hearing the same challenge: 'We love Firmcheck, but our data lives in too many places,’” said Sophie Maxwell, Customer Success Lead at Firmcheck. “This release helps address that head-on, giving users control and visibility, without duplicating work and allowing users to plug Firmcheck into the tools they use.” Firms are already exploring the API as they integrate it into internal dashboards, client portals, and data pipelines.

🤝 A Call for Early Feedback

The API is currently in open beta, and Firmcheck is inviting early users to explore, build upon, and help shape its next evolution. We would like to hear about the integrations you would like to see. Please submit your feedback here.

Customers and partners can access the API documentation here and are encouraged to contact the team to suggest integration partners or specific use cases. Additionally, a dedicated support channel and implementation resources are available via support@firmcheck.com.
